Last Edited: November 11, 2019 at 9:18 AMThis Death Stranding wiki page will list all easter eggs, celebrity appearances, and cameos from Death Stranding. There are already quite a few, including Conan O’ Brien and Geoff Keighley, who have shown up in Death Stranding. 
Conan O’Brien Cameo – The Wandering MC[edit]Conan O’Brien was revealed to be in Death Stranding in the otter costume trailer above. Watch the video to see Conan as a prepper named the Wandering MC, a character he also voices. 
You can find Conan as the Wandering MC, who shares a bunker with the Cosplayer Prepper, located by a large waterfall in the Central Region to the west of South Knot City.
Geoff Keighley Cameo – The Ludens Fan[edit]We saw Geoff Keighley in Death Stranding during the Gamescom 2019, also as a prepper. Geoff’s character, Ludens Fan, looks just like him but is actually voiced by industry voice-over favorite Matt Mercer. You can see Geoff’s character at 5:25 in the video below. 
To find the Ludens Fan, look for an isolated bunker on a hill in the Eastern Region, between the Waystation and Distribution Center, just south of a MULE Camp on the right side of the main river.
advertisementJunji Ito Cameo – The Engineer[edit]The famous horror manga artist Junji Ito makes his cameo in Death Stranding, and you can find his likeness in the Engineer Prepper located in the Central Region of Death Stranding, south of Lake Knot City.
Edgar Wright Cameo – Thomas Southerland[edit]Edgar Wright, film director behind Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and Baby Driver also makes an appearance in Death Stranding. He embodies Bridges Staff Member at the Distribution Center South of Lake Knot City, Thomas Southerland, and the character is voiced by Matt Yang King. Jordan Vogt-Roberts Cameo – The Film Director[edit]Known as the film director behind Kong: Skull Island, Jordan Vogt-Roberts has its own cameo in Death Stranding, lending a hand to the main character.
You can find his likeness in the Film Director Prepper, located far East of the Distribution Center South of Lake Knot City, on the other side of a large MULE Camp, in a very Mars-like area full of rocks.
Daichi Miura Cameo – The Musician[edit]Daichi Miura, Japanese musician known as a solo artist since 2005, is also a prepper in Death Stranding fittingly call “The Musician”. He has recently performed on Dragon Ball Super: Broly theme song “Blizzard”.
You can find the Musician Prepper in the Eastern Region, located above a small lake north of the Distribution Center along the river that feeds it.
Hermen Hulst Cameo – The Craftsman[edit]Guerilla Games Managing Director Hermen Hulst makes an appearance in Death Stranding, game that has been developed by using the Decima Engine, which Hulst and his team created for Horizon: Zero Dawn. His character is “The Craftman”, and the discovery was shared in Guerrilla’s Twitter.
Hirozaku Hamamura Cameo – The Collector[edit]The former Editor in Chief of the publication Famitsu, and now leader of the Japanese publisher Enterbrain, Hirozaku Hamamura makes his cameo as a hidden Prepper known as The Collector, who aptly requests you to bring him various PlayStation consoles and handheld devices.
You can find him in a hidden bunker in the Central Region, along the sharp ravines south of the Distribution Center South of Lake Knot City, along the western edges of the Mule Camp.
Errolson Hugh Cameo – Alex Weatherstone[edit]The man behind the fashion of Death Stranding, Errolson Hugh is the Canadian lead designer of the label ACRONYM, and is represented in Death Stranding as the man at the Weather Station, Alex Weatherstone. Many of the suits and sunglasses seen in Death Stranding are thanks to Errolson.
You can find his character at the Weather Station to the southwest of the Distribution Center South of Lake Knot City, along the base of the mountainous area of the Central Region.
Tommy Wirkola Cameo – Philip North[edit]Another famous director making a cameo in Death Stranding, Tommy Wirkola is responsible for films such as Dead Snow and Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters. He appears in Death Stranding as Philip Norths, who is in charge of the Distribution Center North of Mountain Knot City, which can be found in the far west side of the Central Region, past the Waystation North of Mountain Knot City.
Manabu Makime Cameo – The Novelist’s Son[edit]Unlike the name of the character he cameos as, Manabu Makime is in fact a famous Japanese author himself, and self-described Metal Gear fan. You can find the Novelist’s Son character that he has lent his features to in Death Stranding in the far west side of the Central Region, to the southwest of the Distribution Center North of Mountain Knot City.
Sam Lake Cameo – The Veteran Porter[edit]The final cameo character appearing as a Prepper in Death Stranding is none other than the head of Remedy Entertainment and face of Max Payne, Sam Lake. He now lends his likeness to the Veteran Porter, who can be found in the far south central area of the Central Region, located at the edges of the mountains northwest of the Timefall Farm and southeast of the Geologist Prepper.
