It looks like the wheels are finally in motion on the oft-delayed movie reboot of Mortal Kombat.

Pre-production on the movie is said to be beginning later this month, according to local reports. Filming will be done in Adelaide, South Australia.
According to reporter Claire Campbell, who attended a press conference by South Australia’s Premier Steven Marshall, the film will be the region’s biggest ever production, expected to inject 70 million into South Australia’s economy and create 580 jobs.
Outside of filming, post-production VFX will all be handled by local companies.
